Sudha Murty Biography: An Inspiring Journey Shaped by Simplicity : An artist who is well known as an Indian writer, social worker, philanthropist and also famous for her simple writing style and inspiring life stories for people of all age groups SUDHA MURTY. Sudha Murty was born on 19 August 1950 in Shiggaon, Karnataka. She also was the first female student who became an engineer at TATA ENGINEERING AND LOCOMOTIVE COMPANY (TELCO) which was a male dominated industry which became an inspiration for the next generation of female students to pursue their career in engineering. Along with being an engineer, she dedicated her life to social service and became the chairperson of the Infosys Foundation so she can work for the upliftment of poor and rural communities.

SUDHA MURTY EARLY LIFE :- Sudha Murty grew up in a simple and traditional middle-class family which valued education, discipline, and moral values. That deeply influenced her personality. Her father, Dr. R.H.Kulkarni was a doctor, and her mother , Vimala Kulkarni, was a school teacher. Both her parents were supportive towards education and encouraged her to study hard and become self-reliant. Sudha Murty was very close to her grandfather, who played a major role in her upbringing. He teaches her moral values, compassion, and respect for others through stories from Indian culture and everyday life. These lessons later became the foundation of her writing and social work. Sudha Murty completed her schooling in karnataka. She completed a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from B.V.B. College of Engineering and Technology, Hubli. So later on She completed her Master’s degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru. She was a gold medalist in both her graduation and post-graduation.

HOW SHE STARTED WRITING :-

Sudha Murty started writing because she love reading book and listening stories from childhood by her grandfather he used to tell her many stories, so that inspired her to create her own story.
Then first she start writing small stories in kannada, her story based on real life, from people around her and good values. She liked to write her stories in simple launguage so everyone could understand.
When she won in writing competition, she feels confident about her writing skills and then she contiuned writing mores stroies. After that she started writing stories in English also, especially for children.
Also her social services life gave her so many experience, so she turned her ezperience of life into the storirs.
